Create Your First Pie Menu

Turn Blender’s Apply menu into your own pie menu. Build “Transform Apply Pie” with direct access to your most-used actions while keeping the full original menu available.

Pie Menu Editor — Create Your First Pie Menu (about 3 minutes)

The same steps work with both Pie Menu Editor Fork and the free maintenance version. If you have not installed PME yet, see the installation guide.

What to try

0:13

Create a pie from a right-click. In Object Mode, press Ctrl+A, right-click an item in the Apply menu, and choose Pie Menu Editor → New Menu. Create a pie menu, name it “Transform Apply Pie,” and choose a slot.

0:40

Add commands in other ways. Right-click an F3 search result to add it. You can also copy a Python command from the Info Editor’s history and paste it into a slot’s Command tab.

1:08

Include the original menu. Enable Interactive Panels, open the Apply menu, and use PME Tools at the bottom to add it to “Transform Apply Pie.” Keep your most-used actions and the full menu together.

1:41

Open it with Ctrl+A. Assign Ctrl+A to your pie and set its Keymap to Object Mode. Try it in the 3D Viewport in Object Mode.

Tip

If the original Apply menu opens The keymap you choose affects which Ctrl+A binding takes priority. In the video, Blender’s Object Mode binding takes priority over PME’s Window binding. Setting PME to Object Mode as well lets the new pie open.

See Choosing a Keymap for details.

Make It Your Own

Try the same process with another menu or actions you use often. See Pie Menu Editor for settings and Interactive Panels for adding existing menus.
