This works and seems stable! The only thing that seems to be a bit off is as follows.
If I press hotkey 1 to launch the AB (with the 2000px width) it takes up approximately 50% of the viewport whether on a 1080p or a 4K monitor (I like this!). However, if I then press hoktey 2 to launch a shader editor (which otherwise has the same settings as the AB) the opened AB area turns into the shader editor at approximately 25% of the viewport instead of the 50% that the AB area was occupying.

In the previous PME version, doing the same as above resulted in the shader/AB area to expand by seemingly random amounts depending on the window size e.g. AB would initially take 50% of the area, but after pressing hotkey 2, the shader editor would replace the AB area with say 70% of the viewport space.

I don’t know how many people use this feature, but it would be amazing if swapping over the editors with hotkeys would result in a more consistent experience. I understand that I might not be using his feature how it was designed, but doing it this way is so convenient sometimes.

Thanks so much for your help!
