Thanks for looking into this. I downloaded the pme1.19.1fix1.zip and found two files inside (c_utils.py and extra_operators.py). I copied them inside the root directory of the PME 1.19.1 and overwritten the original files. The behavior appears to be be the same in Blender 4.5.5. I ran the checksums on the two files inside the zip and they seem to be the same as the original, so maybe the wrong files got uploaded accidentally?

I have definitely had my share of 1000 or so spontaneous crashes due to tapping the AB hotkey too quickly haha. However, PME code is the best at handling this I’ve come across so far. Zen dock has great features for example, but is not as stable as PME when dealing with such tasks. I am aware that it is most likely because of Blender itself as it generally enjoys self-combusting at random times, but PME handles this amazingly well. Very impressive code.
