I am trying to add the toggles for translate, rotate and scale.

I think setting the path in the slot editor’s properties tab will achieve what you intended.

…Also, is it possible to have more than 8 pie menu buttons???

Pie Menu allows you to add up to 10 items in PME. However, the Pie layout supports up to 8.

I duplicated my menu, it started working all of the sudden.

It might be a keymap issue. Please check the previous posts. Also, don’t forget to provide screenshots for troubleshooting.
