In continuation.
It was one of Kushiro’s addons (kind of like Grid Modeller).
Since it was not installed during a clean upgrade to 4.2 and the hotkey in PME was still there, it appeared to cause a crash.
After removing it from PME it remained in the hotkeys. On the video you can see how it looks like.
I will reinstall PME this weekend and export my settings from the file. Hope it helps.
