I finally understand why you’re using pmi_edit in that way. It seems that the method you’re using is different from the intended use of pmi_edit. If you would like to continue using that method, please try adding mode='COMMAND' to the arguments.
However, in my opinion, that method might not be efficient. Especially if you need to manage many cameras, I would recommend considering other methods. Please also understand that I can only provide limited support for such methods.
By considering learning the Python API, you may acquire the skills to create features tailored to your needs. Please give it some thought.
