I have an assumption that the halt in the development of PME is related to the situation in Ukraine.
This assumption is due to the fact that I met several times such a situation in other addons, which are developed by Russian and Ukrainian developers. I do not know roaoao from which country. But the work stoppage on the addon happened exactly in this period.
Let’s not forget about the covid as well. It is sudden, and it can be scary.
In today’s world, a person can’t be safe anywhere, not even at home.
I will pray for the well-being of roaoaoao.
But I see only two ways out of the whole situation:
- look for an addon developer who can continue to develop PME and charge what he sees fit.
- Invite Blender developers to maintain the PME code and integrate it into the standard set of addons that come with Blender.
Without any exaggeration, PME is the greatest addon that most definitely deserves to be in the standard Blender bundle.
