Yeah. I actually find it hard that such an essential tool is not part of the main software. I mean developers should care about such code, before releasing final versions.
Its not the money, its the importance having pie menus and customize the UI for the user.
I remember Autodesk telling plugin developers that its a good thing that updates break plugin software, as they can sell updates or maintenance that way. But this is Blender.
