I’m attempting to move my 2.79 setup over to 2.8, and have run into an issue.
I’m trying to use ‘Hold’ on the select Dropdown in Object mode, and ‘Select Linked in Edit mode. These function fine with the regular ‘Select’ active tool selected, but when using the ‘Select Box’ Active Tool (this: 
) it completely overrides the normal selection behaviour, and I can’t figure out a way around this. I much prefer Select Box over Select, so I’d really want to figure this out!
edit: Another issue is that switching mesh modes (vertex/edge/face) doesn’t work immediately. The mode icon in the bar changes, but on the mesh it stays the way it was (so if switching from faces to vertices, the vertices aren’t displayed until I click somewhere)
